On 5 June 2024 Green Party candidate for Watford, Arran Bowen-la Grange, took part in a general election hustings debated, hosted by Watford Dead Club.
Arran said:
“It was a real privilege to take part in my first-ever hustings last night, hosted by the amazing Watford Deaf Club. I think every candidate would agree the experience was incredibly eye-opening, and humbling at times. The UK – including its politics – is still hugely inaccessible to BSL users, and that must change. As a first step, I’ve asked the Green Party of England and Wales to ensure our manifesto is released in BSL, as has been the case in some previous elections, but not all.”
